39th Annual Keystone State Invitational Championship

Congratulations to the Min’s Karate Competition Team and their success at the 2017 Keystone State Championship.  Couple hundred competitors gathered from all across the east coast early Saturday morning at Dieruff High School in Allentown Pennsylvania.  Dozens of schools came from as far as Florida representing martial arts including Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do,  and Karate gathered for this 39th annual event hosted by Grandmaster Jon Chung Kim.

The Min’s Karate Competition Team represented by Coleman Miller, Neil Wiest, Gabe Smitz, Gabriel Wiest, Isabell Wiest, Jaxson Wiest, and Liam Mulholland placed in a total of 10 events.

Coleman Miller's performance in Bong Hyeong 3 Bu earned him a 1st place finish in the Black Belt 13-16 year old Weapon Forms Division.  He went on to finish running up in the Grand Championship round.

Gabe Smiitz's performance in Bong Hyeong 2 Bu earns him a 2nd place in the Advanced 9-10 year old Weapons Division.

Gabby Wiest performs Bong Hyeong 1 Bu.  She finished the day with a 2nd place finish in the Advanced 9-10 year old Sparring Division.

7 year old Liam Mulholland's performance in Pyeong Ahn 5 Dan secured him a 2nd place finish in the Advanced U9 Forms Division.  He also won a 2nd in Sparring and a 3rd in Weapon Forms.

Jaxson Wiest lands a reverse punch in the Finals.  He went on to finish 2nd in the Advanced 7-8 year old Sparring Division.
